Rising Star: Dekotta Bishop Shines on the Soccer Field
We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of our talented student Dekotta Bishop, whose dedication and hard work have earned her a well-deserved place in the Perth Glory Women’s Academy.
The Senior Women’s Academy is home to Western Australia’s most promising female soccer players, providing them with the opportunity to train and compete in a professional, high-performance environment. Through elite coaching, performance support, and a competitive match program, the academy helps players reach the standards of the Ninja A-League Women’s competition.
Adding to her achievements, Dekotta has once again been re-selected for the Southwest Phoenix Firebirds for the 2026 season, continuing her impressive development as part of one of the region’s top teams.
Dekotta’s 2025 soccer season was one to remember. Her squad, the Southwest Phoenix Firebirds Under 15 Girls, achieved a phenomenal triple victory — finishing first in Division 1 of the JDL competition, winning the Under 15s Cup, and taking home the top prize at the Bunbury Carnival. Dekotta’s consistent efforts and leadership on the field were recognised with the Runner-Up MVP Award for the season, a testament to her skill and commitment.
Dekotta’s accomplishments reflect not only her personal drive but also our school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded students who balance academic success with their passions beyond the classroom. She continues to inspire younger players and fellow students alike through her determination, sportsmanship, and love for the game.
We couldn’t be prouder of you, Dekotta — your school community is cheering you on every step of the way!
