Dress Code
DRESS CODE
Our aim in stipulating the following dress requirements is to make our students look and feel proud of themselves and their school. It is the responsibility of the parents to see that students have the necessary uniform.
Hair
Girls - long hair must be tied back and fringe should be neat, at or above eyebrow line. Hair bands and clips to be navy blue, white or maroon. No radical hairstyles or colouring.
Boys - must have their hair cut away from their ears and collar. No radical hairstyles or colouring.
Beards
All boys are required to be clean shaven.
Jewellery
A watch, one small hand ring, and one set of studs or sleeper earrings are acceptable. The earrings must be worn in the earlobe. Earrings are for girls only. No facial or body piercings.
Make-up
No make-up. Fingernail polish to be clear or very pale in colour.
Tattoos
Not Permitted (including temporary / sticker types)
Hats
Hats to be worn by all students when outdoors all school year. Hope uniform hats to be worn by all students.
Shoes
• Standard shoe is black leather dress shoe.
• Summer sandals are allowed, however, they have to buckle or tie on the foot. No thongs or slide on shoes.
Please note enclosed shoes are required for lessons in the Science laboratory.
• Girls – heel a maximum of 5cm. Shoes to be worn with navy/white socks – girls may also wear navy, black or natural stockings. Sports socks must be navy. Shoes are to be worn at all times.
Sports Uniform
Maroon Primary School shirt or Navy High School shirt and navy bottoms (pants, shorts, track pants etc.). However, all shorts, must be no shorter than ten centimetres above the knee. Track pants may be worn during winter months. The school supplies all sport uniforms. A suitable sport shoe is to be worn.
Winter Uniform
Girls
Navy or Black stockings/tights (with feet) can be worn under skirts on non-sport days.
Navy Gaberdine school trousers can be worn on non-sport days.
Navy school track pants can be worn on days they have sport.
Kindy – Year 2 can wear navy school trackpants on non-formal days.
School jackets/jumpers or the school rain jackets can be worn every day.
Boys
Navy Gaberdine school trousers can be worn on non-sport days.
Navy school track pants can be worn on days they have sport.
Kindy – Year 2 can wear navy school trackpants on non-formal days.
School jackets/jumpers or the school rain jackets can be worn every day.
We do have scarfs and beanies for sale in the uniform shop
