Imogen Scores Champion in Dairy Competition

Imogen Minson Triumphs in Prestigious Dairy Competition

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Year 6 student Imogen Minson, who recently represented herself with distinction at the South West Youth Cattle Competition.

Competing against other young cattle enthusiasts from across the region, Imogen achieved remarkable results, being awarded Junior Champion Parader, placing second in the Junior Dairy Judging, and earning the prestigious title of Highest Junior Dairy Achiever, awarded to the competitor who accumulated the most points across all competition categories.

The South West Youth Cattle Competition forms part of a program designed to develop young people’s skills in livestock handling, cattle management, judging and exhibition. Events of this kind provide valuable opportunities for participants to build confidence, develop practical industry knowledge, and demonstrate the dedication and professionalism required to succeed in agricultural pursuits. Similar youth cattle programs across Australia are recognised for fostering leadership, responsibility, animal husbandry skills and a passion for the agricultural sector.

Imogen’s success is a testament not only to her talent and hard work, but also to the commitment she brings to every challenge she undertakes. Achieving top results across multiple disciplines requires a unique combination of knowledge, preparation, presentation skills and perseverance, making her accomplishments all the more impressive.

As a school, we are incredibly proud of Imogen and the way she embodies our values of dedication, growth and excellence. Her achievements also highlight one of the many advantages of our unique rural setting. Students at our school benefit from the best of both worlds: access to outstanding academic opportunities alongside meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect learning to the wider community. Whether in agriculture, sport, the arts, leadership or the classroom, we encourage every student to discover and develop their individual strengths.

Imogen’s outstanding performance demonstrates that success comes in many forms, and we are committed to supporting and celebrating student achievement wherever their passions may lead them.

Congratulations, Imogen, on this exceptional accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to following your future successes.
